#Atherstone Fire & Rescue – Appeal for information – Call out to a fire within the grounds of the old QE school

Atherstone Fire & Rescue – CALL OUT

Just after 2pm on 5th May we were called to reports of a fire within the grounds of the old QE school, Atherstone. Upon arrival we saw that an even layer of wood chippings and a tree had been set alight. After further investigation this is believed to have been lit deliberately. The crew found that a wooden fence had been used as a ladder to gain access over the balustrade fencing and an obvious trail was made through weeds to the seat of the fire. This is yet another small fire that we have attended over the past few weeks. The fire was extinguished using a Hose reel, Thermal Imaging Camera and drag forks.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident; please get in touch.

NO COLD CALLING

There’s nothing more frustrating than people knocking on your door when you don’t want to be sold things. Remember, you don’t have to let them in.

To help, Warwickshire Police have produced a free-to-print ‘NO COLD CALLING’ sign.

You can print this in colour but it has been designed to also work through black and white printing.
Download your copy of the No Cold Calling sign and SHARE copies with vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbours.
https://www.warwickshire.police.uk/…/No_Cold_Callers_Sticke…

Where to place it?
The best place is on your front door, but as it’s a print-out, the colour may run. Tape over or put it in a clear plastic folder and stick that up, or if you’ve glass doors, stick it on the inside to protect from the elements
